Taina's 1st love was the gift of song.
Taina's 2nd blessing was the ability to express her thoughts in the form of written & spoken word. Her writings have branched out to include not only songs and poetry but also short stories, comedic skits and screenplays.The topics range from pain to pleasure, trauma to comedy, misery to hope. Her short story writing as a child paved the way for her current screen writing abilities with some additional fine tuning via a college education.
She possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film & TV Production. She has her own television show, TAINA'S WORLD, on Brooklyn's Public Access channel, BCAT. The show is a collection of vignettes showcasing her comedic writing talents as well as her philosophical takes on life in general. She has completed her 1st screenplay and is currently working on her second and third screenplays simultaneously.
Through her production company, PHOENIX FILMS, she intends on producing, directing & bringing to life her vision to the big screen. A consummate artist with an observant eye, a passion for her culture and an undying drive to showcase the social ills of a lopsided society, Taina's creativity continues to evolve.
Taina intends on showcasing her observations, the trials, tribulations, lessons, victories and defeats her journey on this earth has taken her via various art forms. Always on a quest to reach individuals in less than fortunate circumstances, she draws from her own experiences and never runs out of hope or inspiration.
Taina is currently working on an independent music album & a poetry cd.
